Hi I'm Joy mum to 3 adults Marcus 28 and twins Piers and Lydia 20. I have 2 dogs Remus and Myrtle and hubby is Miles.

I've recently become an independent/private midwife as I didn't feel I could do my role justice in the NHS system. My philosophy is very much with woman, promoting physiological birth and getting to know the whole family.

I'm passionate about empowering women to be confident in their abilities to birth, feed and raise their beautiful children with as minimal intervention as possible if that's what she wishes. Of course if an epidural and caesarean is the right way then that's OK too.

I'm also trained in Hypnobirthing. My hobby is dancing and I'm in a dance performance in May. I also love holidaying in my caravan with my family and dogs.
