Media Mum
My name is Katie, also known as Media Mum. I've worked in social media marketing for over ten years, starting out creating content for a parenting magazine. A few years ago – encouraged by my husband (and after a glass of wine) I took the plunge and set up Media Mum, providing support, advice and social media management for small businesses.
My job allows me to be flexible around my two school-age sons and whatever the rollercoaster of life throws at me! I can advise on Facebook, Instagram, X or LinkedIn for small businesses. Some of my clients book regular 'power hours' with me where together we brainstorm social media content or strategy, research hashtags, set up accounts and much more.
Other clients leave their socials totally to me, complete social media account management, freeing up their time to spend on other areas of their business.
I've worked with a wide range of small businesses including, a private gym, beauty clinics, craft beer and taproom, recruitment companies, sports clubs, pilates instructor and an events company, the range of businesses is never boring!
